I get flocks of Rainbow lorikeets in my yard year round. I have a lot of native trees they like but I also leave out seed/nuts/fruit etc on a bird feeder for the. I'm like panther in that I only have a shit digital camera on my phone and I don't know how to use that...lol...but they gather in groups like this in my tress too: Also Crimson Rosellas: Eastern Rosellas Kookaburras (obviously) and Butcher Birds:

I need to buy a camera and figure out how to make photos go into a computer without shouting at it.

I need to buy a camera and figure out how to make photos go into a computer without shouting at it. Or, presumably, hitting anything with a hammer.

I find yelling at the lappy works very well. My son comes out . Asks "What's wrong, Cave Lady?" and fixes it! Lovely child...(well in fact the yelling pisses him off - but I have trained him well.)

Yeah, obviously my camera isn't a great one, but I shall continue to muddle along completely ignoring that fact!

Nice pics Panther. We've talked about the Hooded Crow before. Tree Sparrows are quite rare in England & Scotland. How about Ireland ?

Yeah, they're rare in most of the country, there seems to be a healthy population round my way, seems every garden here has feeders and nest boxes which helps offset the damage done by free ranging cats.

I have a solution for that problem with the cats: Well in fact my neighbour, a member of the Shooters Party has the solution - and a good eye too apparently. He doesn't miss many. (Only BB's but they do tend to stay the fuck away once hit in the arse with the pellet.)

I left out the humble Blackbird(Turdus merula) ...and a group of Herring Gulls(Larus argentatus) landed today to devour a (roast)chicken carcass, bones and all.
