A new browser-based exploit for a Java vulnerability that allows attackers to execute arbitrary code on client systems has been spotted in the wild – and because of Oracle's Java patch schedule, it may be some time before a fix becomes widely available. The vulnerability is present in the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 1.7 or later, Atif Mushtaq of security firm FireEye reported on Sunday, while PCs with Java versions 1.6 or earlier installed are not at risk. www.theregister.co.uk/2012/08/27/disable_java_to_block_exploit/

I'm not entirely sure what this message means!??
Anyway, my Task Manager seems to have gone a bit wonky and I can't find Java on Control Panel. My Task Manager just gives the programmes running and there are no tabs to click on. Nothing to click on except End Task, Switch To and New Task! I can't see the processes running or anything else... dunno what happened!

I didn't know what the fuck it meant anyway and thought it was just me being dumb again - but if you don't know either I feel better.

Disabling Java seems to make quite a number of sites not work properly, so I'm only going to disable it when going someplace new.

I haven't updated Java in years,I think my version is 1.0. It keeps demanding to be updated but I ignore it out of spite.

Java released an update today. Haven't read what all went into it, but assume it mainly had to do with this.
Just thought I'd let y'all know.
