I was just thinkin, {yeah yeah, shut up}, that this is one of my favorites to hurtle down the highway at 105, um, I mean, the speed limit with it blasting from the speakers. Then I thought, {AHT! No comments from the peanut gallery}, we should have a playlist for road trips! So, here are a couple more of mine, now show us some from yours.
Especially for driving at night:

Santriani - Summer song.
I had this cranked up during my last speeding ticket - 78 in a 65.
My worst speeding ticket was in 1976 in my Mini, 98 in a 35. (Reckless driving) Losing my license for a year and a $600 fined is what got me into racing.

This one is especially great for cruising main street on a Saturday night, windows and moon roof wide open, and the video has dancing cars! No shit.

What a fun waste of time, technology and money. I know, right? You gotta hand it to our Latinos, they are entertaining! About speeding tickets. 20 years ago when I first moved home from Tennessee I bought a fully restored 82 Datsun {last year of Datsun} 280zx, twin turbo. That car was beautiful, and pretty fast. About 2 weeks after I got it a friend and I took a run up to Cheyenne, only takes an hour from here, and back. Vance drove up, I drove it back. We were coming through Fort Collins on 1-25 and I had the speedometer buried. I saw the flashing lights, way back behind me so I pulled over and waited on him. The cop comes up to my window and says the required "do you know how fast you were going?" I said "No sir, the speedometer only reads to 120." He said, "well, neither do I! My radar gun only goes to 125!" Then he says "do you mind if I check your car with a drug dog?" I had nothing on me, so I let them. They let that dog walk all over my midnight metal flake blue car and I didn't say a word, not one. When he got done the cop gave me a WARNING! He said it was because I cooperated. Apparently a lot of cocaine and weed used to get flown in to small landing strips in Wyoming and runners would go up and get it and run it back down and they had seen us go up. I have a really bad leadfoot and the only two speeding tickets I've ever gotten were in a beat up little Chevette, 42 in a 35, and my GMC minivan, 45 in a 40!!!! I got 5 warnings in a row in that Z!!!!

Years ago we drove across from Melbourne to Western Australia through the desert. In a three car convoy. In the Holden Sandman I was a passenger in, the only tape that we had to play was this one. A four day journey. With this, a sheet of red devil trips, a case of bourbon and an ounce some wicked compressed heads. Frightened the fuck out of ourselves....but shit it was memorable. www.youtube.com/watch?v=SI9GwfQWQSU Jeff Wayne. War of the Worlds.

I recently forgot to bring my tunes and did a one album 19 hour road trip to Denver and back. (don't tell Witchy) But it was all good because this was the album.

I LOATHE Acca Dacca. They were OK before Bon Scott choked on his own vomit in the front seat of a Holden Special station wagon - hardly an auspicious death - but even Angus Young says they've been writing the same song for 35 years....dull dull dull is all I can ever feel about them.

I think Witchy's reaction was to my visit without visiting, not AC/DC.

Sorry but it was bidness, only stopped in Torrington on the way down and again on the way back for a snack and a pee. It was the week I joked about meeting in Lusk or Torrington for a shack up.
