Brown snakes are a bit scary because unlike a lot of other snakes they will come at you. They can leap the same length as their own body - so a two metre brown snake can leap two metres....and they're the second deadliest snake in the world.
Very commonplace.
I've lost two dogs to brown snake bites. The best thing you can say about it is that it's a pretty quick process. They didn't linger.
Also if you're into a folksy Australian wild life commentary this guy is far less full of shit than that idiot Steve Irwin and his creepy little daughter.

Pretty little fellah, his behaviour didn't seem all that different to a domestic dog playing,I've had shoes mauled more severely and with more vigour than that by my friend's Springer Spaniel.

Actually, she acts like an older bitch. The older they get the bolder they get. I touched one on the nose in my fishing encounter. They use that same hit and run technique on prey, looking for weaknesses to exploit. I guarantee if the guy would have had a sammich hanging out of his pocket (or Aunt Martha's poodle) that bold yote would have gotten it. .

I came across a juvenile Brown Snake in a caravan park in Oz,luckily I read about their agressive nature beforehand, otherwise I would have tried to make friends with it.
When I encounter wild animals I either observe them from a respectful distance or try to pet them.
