Fun though. thefuckingweather.com/(I've just read : Calendars say May 6 by the way, for this same full close moon a seen from Europe, the Middle East etc etc .... So maybe we will get another chance tomorrow.)

The sky has cleared. Not dark yet but it's getting there. Only a couple of stars out, and I think one of them my be a planet (Saturn?). In the last ten minutes the Moon has risen over the hill, more to the south than I was expecting, looking very big and shining through the haze on the horizon.
Utterly beautiful. A very calm, cold evening. Same sense of wonder that I felt earlier in the year when the Moon could be seen hanging in the sky to the west with Mars & Jupiter.
(Cue Uranus jokes.)

I didn't know about this super moon stuff until this morning when i read here about it being at it's brightest tonight and also my bro told me that apparently it was to appear 14% bigger than usual.
So last night, with no knowledge of these occurrences i went out for a durry and the sky was clear as a bell.........however clear that is. I didn't notice the moon appearing any bigger than usual but it's was bloody bright!!
Hunters moon is a term i've heard used for such a bright moon, coz hunters can see shit good on nights like those i suppose.

The moonrise was the best bit here. The Moon didn't look so special higher in the sky. Bright but not noticeably big. According to the BBC this morning, it was at its biggest at at 4.30am. The most remarkable thing was that i didn't feel at all 'lunatic', as I often do at full moon. And I detected no trace of collective madness here last night either. A bit dull really.

So - where are you going to take me exploring when I come to see you - remember I am bringing plum pudding and a ham to yours on the 25th December. And crackers!! We can play The Grateful Dead at max and piss off the Yuppies from Yorkshire next door.

And boredom. I am not half as interesting as my internet persona, I can't cook, I have no money and my house is a shithole. Make that a chicken instead of ham. And bring Pete & Penny. PS : It's bloody well snowing this morning !

And we can make pea and ham soup with the bone. I knew to bring woollies - I've been to Edinburgh in the summer - I am expecting to freeze to death on a ridge some place.... Oh btw - none of us is as interesting as out internet personas - why do you know, I'm not even a drunken slut IRL.
