I spend 3-4 hours a day sitting here with my feet propped up on the recliner. If you use a laptop like Hatter, what are the views around you at present? I think Acid Zebra over in Yahoo has the coolest computer room, very slick spartan and modern, not a mess like mine. Attachments:

I've got mine at the dining room table. Because my room is right out the back and if I use it there I am utterly isolated from the kids. I can jump up and down here, check cooking pots, stick the kettle on when I want a brew, go into the kids when they call me or just hear them laughing and call out "whas so funny hunny?"
I mean we do all spend a lot of time online. but despite that I like to try and keep us interacting with one another at the same time. I find we've all become kind of part of some of one another's online friendships . It's lovely. Just as when you make friends in real life you can bring them home to meet your family.

I use a laptop, so my "computer desk" is my lap, and no, I'm not posting a picture of my lap! Most times I'm in my room with it. The view out my window is of Long's Peak and Mount Meeker, better known as the Twin Peaks, one of the prettiest views in the world.

^^^Not surprised one bit^^^
I use a Lenovo laptop, 500Gb hard drive, 8Gb ram, 1Gb graphics, and I love this thing coz it's black. Anyhow, view out the window....... ummmm......, well, I'm at work in one of those portable huts with all the heavy industrial steel mesh on the windows, so outside said window is a work-ute, one 30 tonne excavator, a loader, the super's cruiser, and of course my little Hyundai affectionately known as Hindi (hin-dee). Ok, so it's no twin peaks but is better than BB's "view from the sofa".
