So, my brother is a HUGE Jacksonville Jaguars fan. We live in South Georgia. I am a Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan and my dad is an Atlanta Falcons fan. My daughter normally sides with me on EVERYTHING, she decided to side with her Grandpa and support the Falcons. All of that being said, I cheer for all 3 teams, unless one of the other 2 are playing my Bucs.
About 2 weeks ago, I saw on Facebook where the Jags were coming to my little city for their Jaguars Caravan, bringing players and cheerleaders. Being the good big sister, I passed the info on to my brother. Today was the day. My daughter decided last Saturday that she wanted to wear her Halloween jaguar costume today. So she did with a barrette in Jag colors. She flip-flop on wanting to go and I think it was mainly because of the wait. When we first got there, a rep from Pepsi asked to take her pic holding a Pepsi bottle. Sure. It ended up being a towel that she got to keep. My brother immediately texted me to find out what the guy wanted.
They introduced the mascot and the cheerleaders and started throwing shirts, I got one of the first ones. Eventually, we got to meet the players. I gave my brother the camera to get a pic of my mini-Jaguar and the cheerleaders (they had been waving at her and dancing with her-from their table-while we were in line). The first player we met was Tony Boselli.....who took her behind the table and got a pic with her. All of the other players just loved her and thought she was cute. During this time, a newspaper photographer was taking pictures of her with every player as she walked the line. Then we got to the cheerleaders. They IMMEDIATELY asked for her to come behind the table. She sat in the lap of one as 3 people took pictures. (my brother, the mall that was holding the event, and the newspaper guy). Then the 2 cheerleaders at the other end of the table wanted a pic with her. She went to that end of the table and got a few more pics. My brother grabbed her hand as I dealt with the photographers. Newspaper guy gave me a card and told me to email her information, the mall rep said she was going to post the pics on FB. I asked the newspaper guy what paper and he said a Florida one (I forgot the name) AND the AP, so the pics will "probably be on the wire".
My poor daughter attracts attention everywhere she goes. Constantly, I was told by a fan how adorable she was. Yes, I am a VERY proud mama.
I'm sorry for the long post and if it's hard to read.......don't shoot me!
***ETA: What happened to the button thingy for me to include an attachment? I was gonna post the pic of her and Tony......***
