If you wish to transfer funds from one country to another?
It's incredibly cheap. $7.50 to send the amount I wish which will be available to the recipient in 15 mins - when the bank here charges $50 and takes three working days to effect the transfer. then their bank takes another whack out at their end.
Or are there other options? PayPal is not one of them. This person has no paypal account.

It's really the only wire transfer I'm aware of that has a decent reputation. But I've never personally used it.

I've used western union for years, gotten money from home all over and never had an issue.

Cool!! Looks like I've found a way to subvert the usury of the banks then. $50 to transfer $350 with another whack taken out at the recipient's end just doesn't seem like value for money to me.

Oh I despise wire transfers within the bank. Like you said they get you on both ends, it's disgusting.

Makes me ill. Western Union can do it for $7.50 and the bank charges almost $100?
Usury used to be punishable by death - shame that law changed really. One of the (few) good bits of the OT.
