As administrators, we wanted to stay away from huge lists
of rules, and take a "Hands off" stance to moderation. However,
we retain the right to excercise our executive power to impose
any punitive measures we see fit, as and when the occasion
demands it.
"Punitive measures" can mean anything from fining
posters Karma points, suspension of posting priviliges, right up to
permanent-bans. Any punitive measures will be decided by admin
concensus, and offenders will be notified by PM of any action taken.
We don't want to bother you all with specific rules or anything that might impact on your enjoyment of TBC, so we'll try to keep this short.
Just don't be a dick. And don't worry if you don't know what "being a dick" is, specifically. (Regarding this Forum, it's anything we decide it is.)
But we're reasonable people, so everything should be cool. (Unless you insist on being a dick, of course)
Oh, and as for the legal stuff, blah blah blah, spamming, posting malware, tits, dicks, fannys, threats, terrorist manifestos etc may well result in a permanent ban.
Proboards are all for protecting the children, and as admins, we must respect and uphold this.
(At least where the forum is concerned)
Posting other user's details, addresses, places of work, will not be tolerated. A forum is comprised of it's posters, and we consider your privacy as sacrosanct.
If you have any concerns that you really have to share, contact an admin. But don't be bothering us with petty bullshit, we're not going to be nursemaiding anyone's bruised egos here. OK?
All that remains, is for us to thank you for posting at TBC.
Now bugger off, and make some posts.
