OMG the noo ! I've been so busy clowning around that I forgot tomorrow is local election day in Scotland. I am not going to tell you anything about the candidates, the parties or the issues at stake. I just want to know who to vote for. Help.

I usually vote for whoever has the nicest hair. Or is that "whomever"? I can never keep those two straight. What we really need is a proper grammar nazi party.

I just want to know who to vote for. Help. Personally I usually take the option of placing my own box at the bottom of all the actual candidates names, ticking it and writing NONE OF THE ABOVE beside that. Or if there's a real nutter without a hope in Hades - got for him/her. Then no matter how tits up it all goes (and being a local council, tits up it is bound to go) you won't have any guilt at all to deal with.

(I am confused. You are the artist formerly known as who ? Or is that whom ?) It's one of those rank in order of preference type elections. So I have a few good suggestions so far : RainbowWolf Alliance, Grammar Nazi Party, Chuck MacNorris, Nun of the Above ...

Nun of the Above would be a good alias for religion boards.

don't waste your vote by focusing on frippery like hair. Concentrate on the shoes. You don't want to end up being represented by somebody in flip flops.

Try not Voting. I first tried not voting in 1984, and I've successfully failed to vote in every election since. It hasn't made the blindest bit of difference to the British Political situation. Which suggests that, had I dutifully voted instead on every election day, then that too would have made absolutely fuck all difference.

Staying with the Cowboy style, here's Josey Wales. You could do worse than voting for him. Or John Wayne, standing for Law and Order. Brought to you on behalf of the King Jammy Party.
