It poured yesterday until around 2 CST then we had sunshine. It was so weird, when the rain stopped all the roofs were steaming like here were fires in the eaves. Lost power for a few hours, winds were whipping.
We got soaked thru on the way home, saw an accident on the highway, literally inches in front of us, scared me and the kids half to death. Thank goodness no one was hurt.
I've got pans all over the house catching water.
We'll get these storms later today, they're saying late afternoon early evening. Hopefully any tornados will miss us.

My Okie mate is out of town having a weekend away at a hotel some place untornadoey - lol - that's why she hadn't been on her fb. Having too much fun. So she's not one of the 5 dead. Now you take care. It's been rather educational watching all that weather channel stuff and now I know enough about tornado alley to know I won't ever be visiting the fucker! (The sirens don't go off if the power's been cut by an earlier storm I found out - how comforting when 97 storms hit in two days. ) <<<Avoid these at all costs.

Khara, keep your head down today. I just checked on the storm path for today. I hope you can check in and let us know if you are okay.

We're good. Lost power again but other than a few more roof shingles and a new leak nothing major. I dno't think anything actually touched ground although there were a couple of times I fully expected it to get ugly. We got lucky. Maybe the WBC was praying for us....

Good. That's all been a bit intense watching from afar....I do not EVER want to see a tornado for real and storm chasers are mad bastards - just sayin'.

LOL every time we get this kind of weather my kids want to go out in it. I have a terrible feeling at least two will end up doing the chase the danger thing.....

Little buggers. Every time we get flood like rain here there's a few daredevils washed away - they take their boogie boards down the stormwater drains. Twats.
