ha ha!! Watched all three and left comments. You have a lovely voice...you ought to do more with it. At the very least I see a great little pocket money spinner for you in Karaoke bars across the south....they give cash prizes you know. I have several musical mates who supplement their incomes nicely by entering. "Karaoke Sharks" I call them -Like pool sharks - hiding their professional status to make a motza off unsuspecting pigeons. Thank you! I've tried singing karaoke and I suck at it. Not sure why, might be because of all the singing I did in chorus.....it's hard for me to sing without hearing the other voices. These two pieces are a little easier to sing because they're a capella and I've sang the Lullaby song since 1995ish......lol With karaoke, I tend to sing faster than the original track. Plus I have bad stage fright. My daughter tells me I should just get over it and sing. LOL I keep hoping that the videos will land in the hands of someone with some kind of connections. LOL I only have a southern accent when mad or make it come out. I have a tendency to imitate accents too. When I worked at a call center, I'd get asked where I was located and I would say Georgia and the reply was ALWAYS "you don't have an accent". I grew up in Florida, not the South! LOL My BFF and I always joke that Florida is it's own little world, it's Southern only in geography.

Okay, here it is. I decided to read two different, juxtaposed pieces, because I couldn't decide which one I wanted to read. vocaroo.com/i/s0J9VrlYz1T1

I am pretty good at making myself heard. I can bellow too! I used to work in a little breakfast type restaurant in downtown Nashville, the cooks loved it when I worked, we had to yell our orders over the cacophony and they could hear me clearly. That is one of my favorite children's books, the illustrations are SO funny. I wanted to read One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish, but our copy got read to death years ago and I haven't picked up another one. So, this forum has managed to talk me in to revealing more about about myself than any other place on the net! Pretty soon you people will be wanting to know my damned name! {Actually one of you already does}

You sound great. Everyone always thinks their own recorded voice is too high. We're used to listening to it with bone conducted sound, in our own heads. But seriously you have a lovely voice. I know you're always looking for work. You ought to ring up some call centres and let them hear you. There is nothing surer to kill a sale than having someone who sounds like fingernails on a blackboard delivering the pitch. You'd be an asset in any call centre. I'd hire you over the phone - Just on the strength of that great voice. And hiring callers is kind of what I do for a living. Tell them I said so!! Thanks I sadly can't do phone work. I freeze up and can barely be heard. Then I'm like that in pretty much any social situation.

Because of my brain damage and throat injury my voice is fecked and difficult to control. It varies especially if I'm tired my voice will crack and I sound like a ten year old with teh gay huffing da helium. Your right, no one recognizes their own voice but others say mine is coarse and slightly slightly slurred. If I can find my damned mic, I'll give you a sample.

You don't need a mic for this vacaroo thing. I showed you mine! So, get to recording, minion.

Here's some phonetically written phrases in my accent.
For instance, a Man might say to his lazy child, "List near - Few don't guess more excise, you'll grope shorten fatten sir view right, gnaw"
Or, at a school sports day, one parent might proudly say to another another, "Corn to zed mast real be in the limp picks inna neck sten yers". To which, the other parent might reply, "Fee dunce low down, eel fine imself inna necks feel"

Well...that was easy. I have a set of head phones with a built in mic so I have more technology than I thought! Just a matter of trying to say something that doesn't make you sound like a total nitwit
