Quotes from the RNC.
“The demographics race we’re losing badly,” said Sen. Lindsey O. Graham (S.C.). “We’re not generating enough angry white guys to stay in business for the long term.”
On Tuesday, convention organizers ejected two attendees after they reportedly threw peanuts at a black CNN camerawoman and told her, “This is how we feed animals.”

Chiarello said she told Romney, "I lost everything" and that the presidential contender advised her on how to get assistance. "He said that he was going to do the best that he could for us," she said.
"He just told me to, um, there's assistance out there," Chiarello said of her conversation with Romney. "He said, go home and call 211." That's a public service number offered in many states.
Chiarello said she will likely seek some other shelter because her home was submerged in the flooding. She expressed frustration about the town's lack of flood protection.

George Osbourne, Tory Chancellor of the Exchequer got a rousing reception from the 80,000 strong crowd at the Paralympics.
This audience we need to recall is primarily made up of the people who lost their disabled child allowances so that Georgie boy could pay his banker mates their bonuses...earned by destroying the world economy.

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) on Monday mistakenly described Labor Day as a celebration of entrepreneurs and business owners, rather than workers.
“Today, we celebrate those who have taken a risk, worked hard, built a business and earned their own success,” the conservative congressman said in a statement. “I am committed to keeping taxes low and reducing red tape to make it easier for Virginia’s small business owners to start hiring again, create more jobs and ensure a thriving economy for the future so more people can achieve the American dream.”
However, Labor Day actually celebrates the victories of trade and labor organizations in the United States, who fought for 8-hour work days and other standards that most Americans take for granted.

What a Pratt. They try more and more to take the day away from workers. It was already an attempt by Grover Cleveland who signed the holiday into law to distance the US workers movement from the world brotherhood of Trades Unions by giving American workers a day separate from May 1, which is where the achievements of workers are celebrated in most of the world. Now they're even trying to take any reference to workers out of it....they'd steal the pennies off a dead man's eyes, wouldn't they?

It is better to be violent, if there is violence in our hearts, than to put on the cloak of nonviolence to cover impotence. ~Mahatma Gandhi~

Idaho Senator Chuck Winder made this bizarre comment: "I would hope that when a woman goes into a physician, with a rape issue, that that physician will indeed ask her about perhaps her marriage, was this pregnancy caused by normal relations in a marriage, or was it truly caused by a rape."
WTF??

And I don’t think she knows just how worried some of us were,” Romney told the paper. “When you have a fire in an aircraft, there’s no place to go, exactly." Romney said the biggest problem in a distressed aircraft is that "the windows don’t open. I don’t know why they don’t do that. It’s a real problem. So it’s very dangerous." This man wants to be president.
