What is going on ? When I try to attach a photo or some of my brilliant artwork to a post, it doesn't appear. Instead there is a link. If I click on it, there is a (very quick) download of the picture. Is this what other users experience ? An example for you to try : Attachments:

I just clicked on the link, and the picture downloaded into my hard drive. What hosting site are you (not?) using?

(This only started happening yesterday. Pictures always appeared in my postings before. Now I know that other users see the link as well and not the picture, I won't post any more attachments in case it is anything fishy. Am I being paranoid ?)

Are you using a hosting site to link to? Am I using a hosting site to link to what ?(Still don't really understand what a hosting site is.) I am sorry. I don't mean to be obtuse, but it is all gobbledygook to me.

When you attach the image, and it allows you to BROWSE and find the image is it from your hard drive (My Pictures) the picture comes from or is it from a website you save pictures on?

hosting site = Photobucket, image shack or the like
I thought attachments came only from your hard drive and then saved in the forum software? That's why there is a limit on them.

There's a limit on them ? Maybe that's what it is. I was thinking perhaps the Illuminati didn't like my Gaybama pic, or felt my Fat Cat cartoons were too radical.

I'm not sure about here, but most forums there is a limit per person.
But I'm sure if you had reached your limit then it wouldn't let you know.

From my pictures. Don't save my pictures on a website. This is the problem. We are only allowed to upload so much to the site, after that point images will stop showing within the thread and it will have to be clicked on. It's always best to link your images from an outside websource. I use photobucket and have for years now. It's free, it's simple and it has options just like a decent photoshop type program. Then you just post the IMG link and you're good to go. If you need any help or info Sir Duck pop me a PM. In the meantime, I will see if it is possible to up our upload data amount.

Damn - we're too much for the available technology to handle. I tell you we reached warp speed on this thing way early, hey? lol Can we fix it easily enough?? **is anumbnut** PS: Is that's what's wrong with these cunting servers too?

Actually I'm wondering if Proboards didn't change something with the forum coding. because it's doing the same thing on my board and I only have the one attachment.

Just checked the support board and others are having the same problem. Maybe let them know?
